Privacy Policy

Taqdeem (taqdeem.net) is an online service for building CVs and cover letters. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the service, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using Taqdeem you agree to this policy.

Account data: your name, email, and password (stored encrypted), or your basic identity from Google or LinkedIn if you sign in with them - we use these for login only and do not import your profile data or contacts from those platforms.

CV and cover-letter content: the information you type into the editor or upload as your existing CV file (such as experience, education, and skills), plus your letter text and the employer details you address it to - stored for your account only.

Images you upload: your photo if you choose to add one to your CV, and your signature image if you upload one for a cover letter. Both are entirely optional, are stored in storage scoped to your account, and you can delete them at any time.

Subscription and payment records: if you subscribe to Pro or buy a one-time product, we keep a record of the subscription, amounts, and status. We never see or store your card numbers - the payment provider handles those directly.

Support messages: the content of any ticket you open and files you attach to it.

Basic technical data: essential cookies used for login and session management.

Analytics data (only with your consent): aggregate usage statistics via Google Analytics, which does not run at all until you accept analytics cookies.

We use your data to provide the service itself: creating, saving, editing, and exporting your CVs and cover letters, signing you in securely, managing your subscription if you have one, responding to your inquiries, and sending service-related emails (such as email confirmation, password reset, or payment receipts).

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use your CV or letter content for advertising.

Every AI tool in Taqdeem is optional, and none of them run except when you explicitly ask by clicking. When one runs, only the text it needs is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI depending on the tool) to carry out what you asked and return the result to you.

Those tools are: importing a CV from a file you upload, translating your CV between Arabic and English, improving the wording of your text, tailoring your CV to a job ad you paste, and analyzing your CV's readiness. The photo you upload in the editor and your signature image are never sent to any AI provider. The import feature, by its nature, sends the whole file you upload to be read - including any photo already inside it.

Your data is not used to train AI models. If you never use any of these tools, your CV content never leaves our servers.

The free PDF tools on the tools page (merging files, reordering and deleting pages, converting images to PDF) process your files entirely inside your browser: the file is never uploaded to our servers at any step, and we see neither its content, its name, nor its size. The only statistic recorded - and only with your analytics-cookie consent - is that a given tool was used and succeeded or failed, with nothing derived from the file itself.

The Jadarat checker alone works differently: the file is sent to our server for an instant technical check and then immediately discarded - it is not stored and its content is not read for any other purpose.

We rely on trusted service providers to run Taqdeem; they process data on our behalf and under our instructions: Supabase (database, authentication, and image storage), Vercel (site hosting), Cloudflare (domain and network), Google and LinkedIn (sign-in only), Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI tools), Resend (service emails), Dodo Payments (payment processing), and Google Analytics (usage statistics, only with your consent).

Payments are handled entirely by our licensed payment provider: your card details are entered on their page, never pass through our systems, and are never stored by us. What we receive back is the confirmation, its status, and a few identifying digits only.

We may disclose data where the law requires us to.

Your data is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Paris). We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you ask to delete your account it is deactivated immediately and everything is permanently removed after 7 days - your CVs, cover letters, and images - with an undo window until then. We may retain payment records after deletion to the extent accounting and tax rules require.

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can edit your CVs and cover letters directly from your account, download a copy of all your data, and delete your account and data yourself - all from the Account page, "Privacy & Data" tab, without needing to write to us. You can also withdraw your analytics-cookie consent at any time from the cookie settings.

We use two kinds only. First, essential cookies to sign you in and maintain your session; these are required for the site to work and cannot be turned off. Second, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and improve it; these do not run at all before you explicitly accept them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We use no advertising cookies, we do not sell your data to ad networks, and we do not track you across other sites.

We protect your data with encryption in transit and strict database-level access controls that ensure each user can only reach their own data. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Taqdeem is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the effective date above updated; if the changes are material, we will notify you by email or an in-service notice.
